QKA students attend Katharine of Aragon Festival

Well done to two of our history students from Year 7 and Year 8, who represented Queen Katharine Academy at a Commemoration Service at Peterborough Cathedral as part of the Katharine of Aragon Festival with support from our Head Student Victoria.

They impressed everyone with their highly articulate reading of a passage from the Bible in Spanish. The students were also part of the procession during the service, laying pomegranates at the foot of the burial place of Katharine of Aragon.

The students also had the opportunity to climb the Cathedral tower and look out over Peterborough after the service. They found this a tremendously worthwhile experience and relished exploring the nine-hundred-year-old building with its impressive architecture.
