Absence Procedures
It is important that your parent/carer let the academy know if you are unwell, unable to come into school or are running late. There are two ways you can notify the school of an absence:
- Email – on the morning, and every morning, of your absence, an email must be sent to AbsenceSixthForm@qka.education by 8:15 and your parent/carer must tell us why you are absent. We require more information than just you are unwell. Parent/carer must also email us every day of your absence.
- Telephone – Parents/carers can call 01733 383888 – Option 3 to report an absence. Parents will need to state your name clearly so that the absence can be recorded properly. There is an answerphone so you can leave a message but please make sure that this is clear.
If we do not hear from your parents/carer, they will be contacted saying you are not in school. It is your parent/carer’s responsibility to inform us of any absence.
No holidays are authorised for Sixth Form students. It is not appropriate to book recreational breaks during term time.
